Smartsheet CEO Mark Mader accepting recognition as the “Next Tech Titan” during the 2016 GeekWire Awards.

The Seattle startup scene has been sizzling, and there are several up-and-coming companies are headed on a path toward becoming industry giants.

Five of those fast-growing superstars are finalists for the Next Tech Titan category at this year’s GeekWire Awards. They include Fabric; Highspot; iSpot; Karat; and OctoML.

Last year’s winner was Zenoti, which makes software for salons and spas. Zenoti raised $80 million in June, and $160 million in December that valued the company at more than $1.5 billion.

The GeekWire Awards recognize the top innovators and companies in Pacific Northwest technology. Finalists in this category and others were selected based on community nominations, along with input from GeekWire Awards judges. Community voting across all categories will continue until April 22, combined with feedback from judges to determine the winner in each category.

We’ll announce the winners on May 12 at the GeekWire Awards, presented by Astound Business Solutions. Contact events@geekwire.com for more information.

Continue reading to learn more about this year’s finalists for the Next Tech Titan category, presented by Fuel Talent, and cast your vote across all categories in the GeekWire Awards ballot below.
